Monty’s new favourite game is fetch!

Monty keeps breaking into coffee bags overnight and eating the beans! β˜•οΈ

An opened coffee bag with scattered coffee beans is on a light-coloured kitchen surface.

Oh no! A stone got into my coffee grinder and now it’s making a high pitched whine noise. Now I’ve gotta learn about motors, slipper clutches and impellers to get this fixed πŸ˜…

My two cats are going to have some of their teeth out this morning. Poor things!

An old photo, but a favourite one

Day 3 of trying to make a latte heart ❀️ Okay I think on the right I did it, this is good enough for me! Woo! πŸ₯³

Book is: Creative Coffee Designs for the Home Barista by Dhan Tamang g.co/kgs/AgXfy…

Today I learnt about ‘being glue’:

www.noidea.dog/glue

Being glue by Tanya Reilly - lead dev at Squarespace. Engineering team success is not just about showing up and churning out code, sometimes the glue work falls to juniors who don't get properly recognised. Examples of glue work include writing docs, setting up team meetings, establishing coding standards, improving team processes, mentoring and coaching, improving new member onboarding. Even if you're doing the highest impact work, acting in a leadership capacity, and recieving glowing feedback, the company might not consider it engineering work.

Day 2 of trying to make a latte heart ❀️ Not quite there yet!

Two cups of coffee with heart latte art sit on a table next to an open book displaying latte art techniques.

First time trying out a latte heart! ❀️

Learning How to Blog

Since when does the Windows 11 installer have a game to play while you wait?!

A computer screen displays an ocean-themed video game with islands, boats, and a user interface, while a Windows update notification is visible at the bottom.
